Ele’s Place Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced and compassionate Program Director. This position reports to the President/CEO and is responsible for overseeing the delivery and overall success of the Ele’s Place Program Model as well as providing supervision and strategic leadership to the program staff and volunteers for the Ann Arbor location. This position also works directly with the branch Director, effectively leading the branch location.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the consistency and quality of Ele’s Place Program Model within the branch including monitoring the appropriate content of support group activities and activities rooms.
- Oversees/provides guidance, resources, and referrals to members of the community in need of support for grieving children.
- Oversees/provides family intakes and orientation meetings for prospective families, and provides follow-up as needed.
- Oversees group assignments for family members, and provides guidance for families about programming questions or concerns.
- Identifies and coordinates Ele’s Place families in need of referrals to mental health therapists, protective services, or other outside resources.
- Explores, develops, and/or implements new or expanded approved programs.
- Ensures accurate, up-to-date maintenance of family records in the database.
- Acts as a liaison to the Program Advisory Committee; coordinates Committee meetings.
- Oversees evaluation procedures and uses evaluation information to make program improvements providing reports to the branch Director, Headquarters, Community Boards, and the Program Advisory Committee as required.
- Works with the Director of Communications to develop messaging for community outreach.
- Conducts/oversees educational training and appropriate speaking engagements for outside groups.
- Directly participates and/or delegates the participation in community outreach representing program-related content.
- Provides general supervision, guidance, and clinical program staff assigning work to meet operational and programmatic needs, as well as oversees/provides training for all program staff and volunteers.
- Guides the branch program team in accomplishing programmatic goals.
- Facilitates program team meetings – development of program content, etc.
- Plans/schedules program calendar (e.g. Remembrance ceremony, bubble release, etc.).
- Participates in Leadership Team meetings to help guide overall organizational efforts and strategic plans.
- Directly supervises, facilitates the supervision, or delegates the supervision of the license of Bereavement Coordinators in accordance with the needs of the organization.
- Encourages and assists with the building of strategic relationships between subordinate staff and other Ele’s Place employees (e.g. branch program staff, headquarters staff, and other staff members located in various branches).
- Works with Human Resources to recruit highly skilled staff who are committed to the organization’s mission and success as well as evaluate and enhance the growth and professional development of program staff.
Qualifications:
Education Level: A master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
Certifications, Licensure, Registrations: LMSW, LP, LPC, or LMFC state licensure (or equivalent state licensure with a master's degree in a mental health-related field).
Experience Level: Minimum three (3) years post-licensure experience working in a mental health-related field, particularly working with grief issues. Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.

- Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: $60,000 - $87,000 (salary will be commensurate with experience)
